The little ones - Oasis centre

They are taken care of, day and night, by a specific team of maternal assistants. And they are regularly examined, on site, by medical doctors and nurses provided by the Ministry of Health.

A whole floor is reserved for them which includes rooms to sleep in and a day space made up of a sensory stimulation room and a colourful and reassuring day nursery.

They spend their time, like all children, between:

• Indoor play (in the special psychomotor development room ) or outdoor in the yard (1 and 1/2 hours every day )
• Fun educational activities (cooking workshop, painting, story time etc) sometimes animated by volunteers
• Meals, which are always appreciated ! Meals are given at regular hour, in the dining area or in the garden if possible.

We have organised and adapted their living space to be lively and colourful, as well as functional, so that the children feel “just like in a cocoon”. The spacious garden with a playground that meets safety requirements, is the perfect place to run, climb and have fun.

They keep roughly the same daily pace as the “poussins”, except that they have school ! They follow pre-school activities organised by our trained personnel.

We have created, within the Maison d'Enfants, pre-school classes for each level : very small section (18 months to 3 years), small section, middle section and big section.

A teacher, accompanied by a child care assistant, is assigned to each level. One of our main achievements of the past years!
